Engagement psychology on X: How to make people click, comment, and share

Content alone isn’t enough. To truly grow on X, you must understand how people interact online.

So without wasting anytime - lets straight away dive into it.

1. Curiosity gap

Tease information in your first tweet, but leave the answer in the thread.

Makes users click and scroll - And why is this important - the algorithm tracks how long people are staying on your post - well, if a user stays on your post for a reasonable time it's marked as containing value so there will be need for the algorithm to push it" and the vice versa being true.

Comment and engage first; people tend to reply back - when i was trying to build my presence on X - i was really stuck, what helped was a post from Jacob C Edmunds on YouTube and this what he said - 

Before you post ensure you reply to atleast 20 posts from different accounts and also ensure you engage with 20 posts from different accounts.

Here is why - "The algorithm pushes content based on interaction in the first hours of posting, however if the interaction is always from the same people - its treated as farming and therefore ignored this happens over time. Meaning, if you engaged with 40 accounts 20 are likely to engage back on your post and there you have it - But as a small account look for small accounts and for big accounts look for medium accounts.

3. Social roof

Show likes, retweets, and replies to influence new viewers.

4. Emotional triggers

Humor, surprise, and relatability increase engagement rates.
